The Dunlavin Festival of Arts runs an annual short
story competition, which, along with the poetry
competition, forms the Adult Creative Writing section of
the festival. Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be
awarded (monetary value to be decided).
Entries must be original works of fiction of under
c2000 words in the English language, and there no age restriction. There is
an entrance fee of €5 (five euro), per short story. Cheques / Euro drafts should be made payable to the
Dunlavin Arts Festival.
A separate sheet giving your name, address and
contact phone number should accompany your entry. Please send
us copies of your stories as entries cannot be returned.
The closing date for the 2007 festival is 1st April. Completed entries
for the competition (stories, contact sheet and fee)
